Investigation 1: December 15, 2010

On December 15th 2010, California Paranormal Research went for a road trip, conducted two investigations in one day.  This private residence in Sacramento, CA was the first one of the day, followed by another residence in Lodi, CA.

In this case, the residence is a small duplex house.  The current resident has lived there for a little over a year.

The primary experiences in the home have been:

• A general uneasy feeling or the feeling of being watched
• Sighting of a black shadow figure, that appeared to have wings, perched on top of another shadowy figure, both of which "vanished through the ground"
• electronic devices appear to have excessive battery drain
• cold spots

An interesting aspect to the case is that the resident owns an idol that was found in Mexico years ago by his Godfather.  It's origin is unknown, but it is certainly pre-columbian, possibly Mayan.  This was only a concern to the client because of possible spirit attachments that old artifacts might have.

Below are some samples of the evidence gathered from the investigations.

Observations:

• EMF (electromagnetic field) readings over the entire home were around 1 to 2 milligauss, which is a little high for background levels.  The structure is approximately 200 feet from a power grid station with high tension lines running near by.  So these reading are not of a threatening level and not unexpected.
• All the audio files had a greater than normal amount of static and a slight buzzing sound on them, probably a result of being so close to all the power sources mentioned above.

EVPs:
These are clips from unfiltered, unaltered audio files and slight filtered copies used to clarify what is being said.  However the filtered/altered files are not considered "evidence" in themselves, they are for analysis only, and presented here for that purpose.  EVPs tend to be rather soft voices and oddly modulated, so it helps to use good quality headphones, a higher volume and play the file several times.
